37^th VRCA Awards of Excellence 

To support inclusion and encourage participation from smaller contractors, we have designated specific awards for member companies based on annual business volume:

• In each of the General Contractor, General Contractor Tenant Improvement, and Trade Contractor categories one award is dedicated to member companies with under $2 million in annual business volume.

• In the Mechanical and Electrical categories, one award is dedicated to member companies with less than $5 million in annual business volume.

• Continued publication of the AoE point system to clearly communicate how projects are evaluated.

• Ongoing efforts to capture and share judges’ feedback, providing meaningful insights to participants.

• Refined conflict-of-interest guidelines for judges, with clear direction on recusal requirements.

• Further improvements to submission forms to better reflect the distinct contributions of each sector.
 
• Continued emphasis on thoughtful and meaningful Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) content within submissions. 

• Ongoing recognition of accessible design through the Accessibility Award, judged in partnership with the Rick Hansen Foundation.
